Information for:
DILIJAN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF ARMENIA
Welcome to DISA's provisional website.
When DILIJAN International School of Armenia (DISA) opens in September 2014, it will offer a unique co-educational boarding programme enriched by the school's location at the juncture of Europe and Asia. Our campus extends over 88 hectares of land within the beautiful setting of Dilijan National Park, one and a half hours by road from the capital, Yerevan. Consequently, our teaching is not limited to the classroom: students will benefit from a wide range of co-curricular activities, and a healthy lifestyle in the context of a close-knit community.
DISA places a high priority on academic ability and attitude to studies, and with the exception of foreign languages we will be an English medium school. Cambridge IGCSE and the International Baccalaureate Diploma are studied from Year 9 upwards. Our fees have been purposely set below those of comparable international schools in order to encourage the brightest young minds from around the world to join us. Furthermore, DISA has an extensive scholarship and bursary programme for students who qualify academically and those who need financial support. Students may enrol as day boarders or day students, weekly boarders or full boarders, and places are offered on academic merit based on performance in written examinations and an interview.
DISA will offer an excellent international education with an emphasis on strong pastoral care. The very best international and local teachers will be recruited to ensure that well-qualified and experienced men and women, familiar with the pastoral benefits of a lively boarding environment, deliver our programme.
A DISA education will be demanding, exhilarating and rewarding - to find out more about the school please take a further look at the website.
